Oh my, THE reunion movie to end all reunion movies. Despite all better
judgement you cannot help but be swept away by the nostalgic
meanderings and sharp wit of Kasdan's exploration of generational
transition. The chill of the title is the change in attitudes that a
group of 60s radicals have undergone by the 80s. Kasdan underpins his
story with a wonderful selection of 60s soul and rock tracks that reveal
both the nostalgia and contradictions of dwelling on a singular moment
in history. The cast are terrific: Berenger, Hurt, Goldblum and Kline
all flexing their embryonic fame; Close, Williams and Place
positively radiant. In short, great.
