"Young, dumb and full of come" - Point Break's summation of
Keanu Reeves looked destined to be his Hollywood epitaph. After dumb
crowd-puller Speed, intent on proving he wasn't Much Ado About
Nothing, Reeves made a series of art-house turkeys, including Little
Buddha with an off-form Bertolucci, and A Walk in The Clouds. SFX
stinker Chain Reaction bombed and Reeves disappeared for a couple of
years, reappearing in Point Break-beating form in The Matrix. Once
more he was the dumb heart-throb we all knew and adored, our Bill and Ted
goofball, now armed with serious bod, weaponry and salary.
