Angels And Insects
Originally released: 1995
Adaptation of dull novel by AS Byatt, featuring Patsy Kensit as a nymphomaniac, incestuous typical Edwardian. Supposed to be Kensit's breakthrough into serious acting - casting her opposite Mark Rylance - the film is mainly memorable for its ludicrous sex scenes, and Kristin Scott Thomas' performance as a black clad governess. She attempts to warn Rylance of his wife's incestuous adultery, only to find that he is falling for her. The sight of her wrist muscles sends him into frenzies. Just so you don't have to watch it, they end up together after she - literally - lets her hair down. And we know what happened to Patsy Kensit's 'career.'
