Dorothy’s (Balk) return journey is more frightening than flying
monkeys. Aunt Em (Laurie), worried about Dorothy's bad dreams, takes
her to a quack for electroconvulsive treatment. Just when
everything's going Bell Jar-shaped, Bettina the chicken rescues her
mistress, and Dorothy finds herself in a new Oz, run by the rock-eating
Nome King (Williamson). Her old friends are gone, turned into
trinkets. In their place she acquires gangly Jack Pumpkinhead and
stout-hearted TickTock. New enemies - the Wheelers, Princess Mombie
and the Nome King himself - are determined to stop Dorothy reaching
home. Like the comedown to 1960s acid-trip The Wizard Of Oz.
