Eastwood is back in the poncho as a bounty hunter after the ruthless,
pot-smoking bandit Indio (an insanely criminal Gian Maria Volonte),
who is also sought by Colonel Mortimer (Lee van Cleef) for personal
reasons. The double-crossing leads up to one of Leone’s most ingenious
duels, where vengeance is exacted for both poetry and profit.
