Lush Tuscan settings and twenty-something eyecandy are the excuse for
this Lolita-esque movie about a daughter's search for her father, and
everyone's search for love. Tyler is the pouty American recovering
from her mother's death among bohemian company, looking for a father
and a first love. Irons, melancholy and grey, is her mentor on both
journeys. The debauched party thrown by Tyler's boyfriend's family is
a stand-out piece of film-making in this sexy, shallow picture. Look
out for Fiennes in an early appearance as Tyler's gay ex-crush.
