Raimi's knockabout western pastiche boasts performances as garishly
unsubtle as its feminist spin. Interesting though it is now to see
DiCaprio and Crowe on the cusp of stardom, the main attractions are some
energetic bullet's eye view photography and game send-ups of
everything from High Noon to Once Upon a Time in the West. Not Raimi at his
exuberant best, but a lot more fun than Last Man Standing.
