An auspicious psychological thriller from master craftsman Hanson.
It cashes in on Rob Lowe's late 1980s notoriety with emphasis on
videotaped sex and a general atmosphere of sleaze. He's OK, but
alongside him Spader offers one of his best white collar in peril turns,
sweaty, implicated and extremely watchable. It's as obvious and
well-mounted as everything Hanson does, despite a let-down ending.
