Not one of Keaton's more well known films, this short (24 minute) film
nevertheless showcases his sight gags and perfect sense of slapstick
timing. Buster gets a job at a shooting gallery, whereupon he gets hired
as a sharpshooter both by a bunch of cartoon hoodlums, the Blinking
Buzzards (who have a secret sign, hence the title) and by a businessman
who they're trying to kill (shades of Yojimbo / Fistful of Dollars). The
gags in the last couple of minutes almost come too thick and fast to
follow, but the film is still a delight.
