Sci-fi pulp hokum from Roger Corman sees Richard "John Boy
Walton" Thomas saving his planet from destruction with the help
of ragtag space mercenaries. A feeble space update of Seven Samurai
(actually more likely The Magnificent Seven) with Robert Vaughn and
George Peppard starting their decline. Hell, the ship has a silky
woman's voice and breasts! Likeable if really quite bad, but notable
because James Cameron did the special effects. Things could only get
better!
