Vampires
Originally released: 1998
A slight incline on John Carpenter's recent career curve, which would be a sharper one if it weren't for a distinctly dreary middle section. The beginning and end are perfectly satisfactory and quite a lot of fun, as James Woods and Daniel 'least well known' Baldwin team up to hunt down the Master Vampire who has annihilated the rest of their team of slayers. Nicely shot, with a typically distinctive Sheryl Lee along for the ride, but shame about the pacing and the tedious Catholic subplot.
