has made several provocative movies since his film school debut, She's
Gotta Have It. Do The Right Thing and Get On The Bus stand out among his
overtly political projects. Girl 6 and Summer Of Sam - whose orgy scene
made Eyes Wide Shut seem like Songs Of Praise - are both enjoyable. Lee
has worked with some great actors, including Ossie Davis and John
Turturro. The loyalty he inspires among them suggests that the
hostility he regularly displays in interviews is reserved for uppity
critics.
