A portmanteau horror film of the old Hammer school, this is in three
parts, the first (and best) of which is directed by John Carpenter, who
also presents the linking scenes in Tales from the Crypt fashion. His
offering is a gas station gross-out, the second has a surprisingly good
Stacy Keach as a man terrified by hair loss, and the third Mark Hamill as a
baseball player who has an eye transplant. Diminishing returns, and
distinctly below average overall.
