Low-budget indie flick which turned Moore and Haynes into bankable
properties. Moore plays a suburban housewife constrained by the
fantasies of her own fear. Neither director not actor make it clear
whether she's suffering from agoraphobia, paranoia, or a genuine
knowledge of terrible eventualities. Extreme reactions force the
viewer to re-evaluate the dark side of everyday life we ignore in order
to cope - and, playing a woman who can't, Moore carries the movie, the
camera never far from her face, or her brilliantly expressive hands.
