Like all redheads, Eric Stoltz has always been on the outside of the main
chance. Appearances in Fast Times At Ridgemont High and Say Anything
made him an original Brat Packer, and Memphis Belle dragged him into the
1990s, but even working with ultra-hip director Cameron Crowe has
failed to make him a household name. After character parts in three Neal
Jiminez movies, he blockbusted disastrously in Anaconda - but The
House Of Mirth may well restore his fortunes. Gifted with sensitivity
and a work ethic, he has ranged across the Hollywood board.
