Eerie thriller which, despite its tiny cast, never feels stagy or slow.
Neill and Kidman sail into the blue yonder to forget their daughter's
death. They take a man (Zane) on board from a drifting ship. He separates
them – sending Neill to discover what happened to the ghost ship – and
tortures them. Kidman is stunning in every sense: she glows against the
Caribbean backdrop, and she exhibits an iron will that puts her a cut
above the usual thriller victim. Every inch a winner – and definitely
not one to watch alone on a dark night.
