Low concept movie that spawned a genre. Reeves is a policeman who upsets
a psycho's plans. The psycho plants a bomb on a bus (driven by Bullock)
and puts Reeves in the line of fire. The bus has to stay above 50 kmh or the
bomb goes off. Which would mean no more Keanu, and given the flesh he
flashes in this movie, that would be a bad thing. There's nothing else to
care about. The relationship between Bullock and Reeves is
unconvincing, and there's never any doubt that everything will be OK.
Explain this movie's success to me again?
